In recent years, research has advanced our understanding of PTSD and its treatment. PTSD can be caused by exposure to a wide range of traumatic events, and the mental and physical impact suffered often demand therapeutic assistance.

The information in this course will provide students with a greater awareness of the need for prompt recognition of symptoms, and of the current treatment strategies that could benefit clients, their families and those who work with them.

This is a paper-based distance learning course. Upon enrolment you receive your first course lessons.

Having progressed through each lesson you can take your final examination at home, and at a date and time that suits you. Then, on successful completion you will be awarded your certificates. You have up to 2 years to complete the course.

There are no set time limits or deadlines for this course, so you can study at your own pace. Your progress may therefore depend upon how much time you would like to commit to study. You have 2 years from your enrolment date to complete your distance learning course.
